    PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
     
    I.T. Administrator                                                     2003 – 2009
    Thomson, Rogers Barristers & Solicitors, Ontario
     
    • IT Decision maker and coordination on major upgrades and projects whether in house or outsourced.
    • Created in-depth IT reference and documentation on network functions using Microsoft Visio and equipment/software functions.
    • Contact and liaise with various vendors concerning hardware or project based issues and contracts.
    • Maintain current and new vendor/subscription contracts for hardware and software.
    • Prepared reports on upgrade analysis and effective implementation of new procedures.
    • Day to day duties included troubleshooting user (100 persons) issues; backup/restored data; maintained and installed all servers and server room equipment; installed and created images for all new desktops, laptops, servers and printers.
    • Managed the Blackberry Enterprise Server 4.x and all accounts (Rogers) for users, including purchase, upgrades, terminations, changes, etc.
    • Maintained Cisco series switches and ASA5510.
     
     
    Senior Desktop Support Lead                                    1999– 2003
    Honeywell, Mississauga, Ontario
     
    • Managed PC refresh of leased Compaq's to new Dell PC's and laptop's, including the creation and maintenance of software images and deployment to 400+ users with small group of technicians.
    • Ensured hardware and software standards were adhered to by creating and coordinating purchase requests; reconciled between end user and current set of company/vendor configurations. 
    • Assessed and recommended user specific needs for any new PC or laptop hardware or software upgrade, and reallocate old PC's in redeployment strategies.
    • Created and maintained standard software images in DOS, Windows 9x, NT 4 Workstation and Windows 2000 Professional, as well as custom image profile for special rollout projects.
    • Implementation of major LANDesk 6.4 rollout to 1000+ PC's, from installation on NT and Novell servers and worked with SQL 7 Server for the backend databases for it.
    • Created asset LANDesk asset management system and trained IS staff on remote functions and report creation.
